The Inn

ounded in 1832, the historic town of Elora is located about 20 kilometres north of Guelph and 20 kilometres northeast of Kitchener-Waterloo, and is a popular tourist attraction famous for its unique 19th-century limestone architecture, popular festivals, vibrant artistic community, and breathtaking natural scenery. Elora features unique and quaint riverside shops, galleries, and restaurants along the Grand River, with a large conservation area that includes the spectacular Elora Gorge and a famous waterfall called the “Tooth of Time.”

The Elora Mill Inn & Spa is one of Ontario's “Four Great Mills” and the only remaining five-story mill dating to the 19th century. Located on the Grand River overlooking the Elora Gorge, the Elora Mill Inn & Spa was renovated and transformed in the early 1970s into a prestigious inn and restaurant. Many guest rooms, the dining room, and the lounge offer stunning views of the Grand River and the Elora Gorge, a natural wonder of tall cliffs and waterfalls, deep caverns, challenging rapids, and serene pools.

Like all “great mills,” the mill at Elora a century ago was a vital hub for agriculture and commerce, and today’s Elora Mill Inn & Spa reflects that proud heritage with antique period furnishings and unique artisan-crafted fixtures and decorations made from the original mill equipment and materials. Discover the old-world charm, fabulous food, professional service, and gorgeous scenery that every year draws thousands of visitors from around the world to the Elora Mill Inn & Spa.
